What Happens After a Mural is Finished?

The lift comes down on a Friday and by Monday the mural has to fend for itself. This is the part no one photographs: the long afterlife of a painting that now belongs to weather, traffic and time.

Some walls are loved to pieces — touched, tagged, leaned against, repainted by hands that aren't yours. Others fade politely. Learning to let go of a finished piece is its own skill, and not one they teach you.

What lasts, in the end, isn't the pigment. It's the story of the days it took to make — which is exactly what Muralist Life exists to keep.
