Ascension

Ascension rises up the side of a downtown Los Angeles building, arms reaching toward the light at the top of the wall. Visible from the freeway, it turns a blank facade into a landmark.

The piece was commissioned as part of a citywide public-art initiative and painted entirely from a boom lift over ten days.
